(1892-1973) Tolkien, J.R.R. Born in Bloemfontein, South Africa, January 3, 1892. When he was 4 he moved to England and studied, At Exeter College, Oxford. He became a professor at Oxford from 1925-1959 He first gained appriecation as a Philologist. He didn’t just make fables he, made new ones by himself. He invented an imaginary land Middle Earth in meticulous detail, its language, its biography, and the exciting history. He worked for language and made it literature. The Story of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy continued 1954-1955. The Silmarillion, was published after his death 4 years later. His death place is in Bournemouth, England on Sept. 2n
