Her Life

-Her favorite teachers were Mrs. Corkhill, Sixth Grade, Mr. Tremonte, eighth grade algebra, Miss Basehore, second and forth grade latin
-She grew up in the suburbs west of Philadelphia
-When she was ten years old she first decided she was going to be a writer
-It took her until she was 41 to get started in writing books
-Before she was a writer she was a photographer
-Some of her photos are included in the permanent collections of museums like the Smithsonian
-She lives with her husband in Northampton, Massachusetts
-The Penderwicks are more like the family she always wanted to have.
